Your center's family handbook
Reading your center's policies and confirming that you have, in the app.
Opening the handbook
Go to More and tap Family handbook, under Your children. You'll see the handbook's title, its version and the date your center published it, and any note from your center about what changed.
Tap Read the handbook. It opens as a PDF or a web page, depending on how your center published it.
If it says No handbook yet, your center hasn't published one in the app. Ask your center for a copy.
Acknowledging it
- Read it Tap Read the handbook and read it through.
- Type your name Enter Your full name.
- Confirm Tap I've read and agree to the handbook. You'll see Thanks — acknowledgement recorded.
Afterwards the screen says You acknowledged version … with the date and the name you typed. That's your record; there's nothing more to send.
Each parent or guardian acknowledges for themselves, signed in to their own account. One person's acknowledgement doesn't count for the other.
When there's a new version
When your center publishes a new version, you get a notification headed Family handbook updated (as long as Announcements is switched on in Settings), and the screen shows the new version waiting for you. Read and acknowledge it the same way. Acknowledging an earlier version doesn't carry over.
If you see This handbook has been updated. Please review the current version. when you confirm, your center published a new version while you were reading. Go back, open the screen again, and acknowledge the new one.
Who sees your acknowledgement
Your center's director sees who has acknowledged the current version, with the name each person typed and the date, and who hasn't yet. Other families don't see it.
The handbook is in the app only; the family portal on the web doesn't show it.
