Updating your phone number or address
Keeping the numbers current — including the ones that only matter on a bad day.
How to update
Some details you can change yourself in the app; others — the ones tied to your child's official record — are changed by your center. If you can't edit something, that's why, and a quick message to your director sorts it.
Why it matters
These are the numbers a teacher dials when your child is ill or hurt. An old mobile number is invisible until the day it isn't, and that's a bad day to discover it.
Emergency contacts
Emergency contacts are who the center calls when they can't reach you. Two things worth doing:
- Check the person still agrees, still lives nearby, and still has that number.
- Make sure they know they're listed. Being phoned about a child you weren't expecting to be responsible for is a rough way to find out.
Someone you'd phone in an emergency is not automatically allowed to collect your child. Those are separate lists, deliberately. See Authorized pickups.
Both parents
If both parents have accounts, each keeps their own contact details. Updating yours doesn't change theirs.
Worth a review
Check your details when you move, change your number, or at least once a year. Enrollment renewal is a natural moment — you're already filling in forms.
