The contacts list
Everyone on your child's record, and how to reach them.
Finding Contacts
Go to More → Stay connected → Contacts. Staff reach the same screen under More → People, with an extra Staff filter that families don't see.
It shows the people on your own children's records, in two groups: Parents & guardians and Emergency contacts. Other families at your center aren't listed.
Parents and guardians
Everyone your center has recorded as a parent or guardian of your children, including you. Your own row is marked (You) and sits first — worth a glance now and then to check your own number is right.
Each row shows the person's name, their relationship to your child, and which of your children they're linked to. Below that is the email address and phone number your center has on file, or No contact info on file when it has neither.
If you have two children and the same guardian is on both records, they appear once, with both children's names on the row.
The other guardians of your child can see your name, relationship, email and phone the same way you see theirs — these are the people who collect the same child. Nobody outside your children's records sees any of it, and no part of this screen shows another family's details.
Emergency contacts
The people your center calls when it can't reach a guardian: a grandparent, a neighbour, an aunt. Each row shows the name, the relationship, which of your children they're listed for, and the phone number on file.
If the section says No emergency contacts on file, your center doesn't have any recorded for your children yet. That's worth fixing — see Updating your phone number or address.
An emergency contact isn't automatically allowed to collect your child. Pickup permission is a separate list; see Authorized pickups.
Calling or emailing
Tap Call to open your phone's dialer with the number, or Email to start a message in your email app. If you have more than one email app installed, RoundUp asks which to use with Choose an email app.
A button is greyed out when there's nothing to use — no number recorded, or no email address. Emergency contacts have Call only: your center records a name and a number for them, not an address.
These open your phone's own apps, so the call or email comes from you, not through RoundUp. Neither is a message to your child's teacher — for that, use Messages. See Messaging your child's teacher.
Filtering and searching
The chips at the top are All, Guardians and Emergency. All shows both groups, and the others show one at a time.
Search name, email, phone narrows both groups at once, and also matches a relationship or a child's name — typing a child's name shows just the people attached to that child. The line above the search box counts what you're looking at, like 2 guardians · 1 emergency.
If a search or filter leaves nothing, you'll see No matches with a Clear filters button.
If something's wrong
Contacts is read-only. It shows what's on your children's records, so a wrong number, a missing email, or a contact who should no longer be listed is fixed by your center, not in this screen. See Updating your phone number or address.
Adding a guardian here doesn't give them their own login. To do that, see Adding another parent or guardian.
It's worth checking once a term. These are the details staff use when they need to reach someone in a hurry.
