The class directory

Families in your child's room who chose to share contact details, for playdates, birthdays and carpools.

For parents and guardians

What it is

The class directory lists families in your child's room who have chosen to share a way to reach them, for playdates, birthday invitations and carpools. Nobody is in it unless they join, and each family chooses exactly what to show.

Go to More and tap Class directory, under Your children.

Your center turns it on

The directory is off until your center switches it on. Until then the screen says Not available and Your center hasn't turned on the class directory. If you'd like one, ask your center's director.

Who's listed

You see the families who joined and have a child in the same room as yours. Each shows the name they chose, their children's first names and room, and any note. Tap Call or Text if they shared a phone number, or Email if they shared their email.

If no one shows, it says No other families in your child's room have joined yet.

Joining

  1. Start Tap Join the directory.
  2. Your name Under Name other families see, enter how you'd like to appear, such as Maria (Ava's mom).
  3. How to reach you Add a Phone number if you like, and tap Share my email to show your email. Both are optional.
  4. A note Note is optional too, such as happy to carpool from the east side.
  5. Save Tap Save. The screen says You're listed as and your name.

You can join while you have a child enrolled at the center. Each parent or guardian has their own listing, so a second guardian who wants to be listed joins from their own account.

Changing or leaving

Tap Edit my listing to change what you show. To leave, open it and tap Leave the directory. Your listing is removed straight away.

What's never shown

Only families with a child in your child's room see your listing, and only while your center has the directory on. Your address, your child's last name and the other guardian's details are never shown, and your email only if you chose to share it.

The directory is in the app only; the family portal on the web doesn't have it. For your child's own emergency contacts, see The contacts list.

Still stuck?

Your center's director can see your family's account and can fix most things fastest. If the app itself is misbehaving, that one's ours.
