Autopay and saved cards
Setting tuition to collect automatically, keeping the card current, and turning it off again.
What autopay does
Autopay collects tuition from a saved card on your center's billing schedule, so you don't have to remember. When it's on, the app shows Auto Pay enabled on your billing screen.
Turning it on
Add a payment method first — autopay has nothing to charge without one — then enable Auto Pay in Billing. That's the whole setup.
When it charges
On your center's billing cycle, for the balance due at that point. Charges added after a run — a late-pickup fee on the Friday, say — are collected on the next one rather than immediately.
Changing your card
Add the new card and remove the old one. Do it before your renewal date rather than after: a card that expires between two runs produces a failed payment, and failed payments are how autopay ends up paused.
If your bank replaced your card, the old number stops working immediately even though the account is fine. Add the new card as soon as it arrives.
If autopay pauses
Repeated failed payments can pause autopay so it isn't retrying a card that clearly won't work. Fix the card, then resume it.
Resuming starts from the next cycle. It does not go back and collect what was missed while it was paused, so check whether there's a balance to pay off — otherwise it quietly carries forward.
Turning it off
Disable Auto Pay in Billing whenever you like. Tuition doesn't stop being owed — you'll just be paying it manually again.
If you're turning it off because a charge looked wrong, talk to your center too. Autopay off with the disagreement unresolved usually turns into arrears nobody meant to create.
