RoundUp Help Center

Help Center/ For families/Receipts and statements

Receipts and statements

What you get automatically, and what to ask for at tax time.

For parents and guardians

Receipts

Each payment produces a receipt in the app, showing what was paid, when, and what it covered. Fine for reimbursing a one-off; not what you want at tax time.

Year-end statements

For a summary of everything you paid over a period, ask your center. They can produce a statement for your family covering the dates you need.

Ask in January rather than April. Every family wants theirs at the same time, and a director producing forty statements in one week is slower than one producing yours in a quiet fortnight.

What you need for taxes

For a childcare tax credit you generally need the provider's name, address, tax identification number, and the total you paid in the year. Ask for all four together — the tax ID is the one people forget and have to go back for.

We can't produce these for you

Statements come from your center, because they're your center's financial records. RoundUp support can't generate one on their behalf.

Dependent care accounts

If you're claiming through an employer's dependent care benefit, check what your administrator requires before asking — some want an itemised statement per period rather than an annual total, and it saves a second request.

If an agency helps with your costs

Where an agency covers part of your childcare, your statement reflects what you paid, not the total value of the care. That's normally what you need, since you can't claim what you didn't pay — but check with whoever is asking for it.

Still stuck?

Your center's director can see your family's account and can fix most things fastest. If the app itself is misbehaving, that one's ours.
