What RoundUp collects about my child

A plain-language summary of what's held and why. The privacy policy is the full version.

For parents and guardians · summary, not the policy

What's held

  • Your child — name, date of birth, classroom, attendance times, daily report entries, photos your center shares, allergies and medical notes, incident and medication records.
  • You — name, email, phone, address, emergency contacts, authorized pickups, and billing records.

This is a summary. The privacy policy is the authoritative version.

Why

Most of it exists because a licensed childcare center is legally required to keep it. Attendance records, incident reports, medication logs and immunization records are licensing records — your center would be keeping them on paper otherwise.

The rest is what makes the app work: contact details so you can be reached, billing records so payments can be tracked.

Who it's shared with

Your center's staff, according to their role — teachers in your child's room see the day-to-day; contact details and billing are limited to directors. See Who at the center can see my family.

Beyond your center: payment processing (card details go to Stripe and are never stored by your center), and any agency you've involved in subsidised care. Children's data is not sold, and not used for advertising.

Photos

Photos are shared with the family of the child in them. They aren't public and they aren't posted anywhere.

If you'd rather your child wasn't photographed, tell your center — it's a normal request and you don't need to justify it.

How long it's kept

Licensing records have retention periods set by your state, so some records outlive your child's enrollment by design. Your center can tell you what applies to them.

Your rights

You can ask your center what's held about your child, ask for corrections, and ask about deletion. Some records can't simply be deleted while a retention requirement applies — your center can explain which and why.

Start with your center: they hold the records and they know their obligations.

Still stuck?

Your center's director can see your family's account and can fix most things fastest. If the app itself is misbehaving, that one's ours.
