Your center's branding in the app

What the Branding screen changes, where it shows up, and what it leaves alone.

For directors, assistant directors and admins

Finding it

Open More → Center management → Branding. Directors, assistant directors and admins can change it. The screen shows your center's name under the title, and everything on it belongs to that center only.

Tap Save branding when you're done. As the screen says, branding reaches parents and staff at your center the next time they open the app.

The fields

  • Brand name — required. Usually your center's name as families say it.
  • Logo URL (optional) — a web address for an image; there's no upload. Use an https:// link to an image on your own website, somewhere it won't move. It's shown small, so a simple square mark reads better than a wide logo with words in it.
  • Primary (buttons, accents), Secondary and Accent — hex colors like #1F6F5C or #1F6. Leave one blank to keep RoundUp's; the line under it says which color that is, and the swatch shows it.
  • Logo for dark backgrounds (optional) — a light version of your logo, used on the check-in kiosk and in email read in dark mode. Leave it blank to use your main logo.
  • Support email and Website — shown to parents and staff at your center under More → Settings → About, above RoundUp's own support details. Fill in either one, or both; the card only appears if you saved something.
  • Sender name, Reply-to address and Footer line — for the emails families get from your center. Families see "Your Center via RoundUp" as the sender, replies go to your reply-to address (or your support email if you leave it blank), and the footer line — an address, a license number — sits at the bottom of each email.

A color that isn't a valid hex code shows Invalid hex, and Save branding waits, with the reason above it — for example Primary color must be a hex like #RRGGBB. Logo addresses must start with https:// and be a PNG or JPEG.

Where it shows

Your Brand name and logo appear once per device: at the top of the sidebar on tablets and other large screens, and at the top of Home on phones, which have no sidebar. With the sidebar collapsed, just the logo shows. They're deliberately in one place rather than on every screen.

A center that hasn't saved branding sees neither — the app's own name and mark stand in, and no extra row appears on Home.

Your Support email and Website appear on every phone and tablet, under More → Settings → About, on a card headed with your brand name: Questions about your child, schedule or billing go to your center. It sits above RoundUp's own support card, so a parent reaches you first and us for the app itself.

Beyond the app, your branding reaches:

  • The check-in kiosk — your logo and name above the sign-in list.
  • Emails to your families — the welcome and invitation, enrollment and waitlist updates, tuition receipts, billing statements, closure and incident notices, and more. Your logo heads each one, your color fills its buttons and links, and every one ends with a small Powered by RoundUp line.
  • Documents you issue — the Canadian child care tax receipt and staff offer letters carry your logo and color, and no RoundUp mark.
  • The family portal — once a parent signs in, your logo, name and button color, with Payments by RoundUp beneath.
  • Parent notifications on iPhone — your center's name under the title. Android shows only the app's name.
  • Stripe receipts and checkout — your color, the next time you sync your center to Stripe from the payments settings.

If the logo doesn't appear, open the link on a phone. An address that needs a sign-in, or points to a web page rather than the image itself, won't load in the app.

Colors

Your Primary color replaces RoundUp's on buttons and highlights, and Secondary and Accent do the same where the app uses them. They stay put: switching to dark mode, changing the text size or any other appearance setting keeps your colors. A color you leave blank keeps RoundUp's, and much of the app — its paper backgrounds and text — is the same whatever you choose.

Outside the app — emails, PDFs, the family portal, Stripe — a color too pale for white text is deepened just enough to read, keeping its hue. The Branding screen tells you the shade it will use.

Two things deliberately win over your colors. Red always stays red: delete buttons, error messages and Overdue labels keep their meaning whatever your brand is. And a staff member who picks their own accent color under Settings → Appearance sees that instead of your primary, on their own device only — it's an accessibility setting, and it doesn't change anything for anyone else.

What it doesn't change

  • The app's icon and name on anyone's home screen, and its App Store and Google Play listings. Those are RoundUp's.
  • Emails RoundUp sends to you and your staff, such as staff invitations, the monthly recap and password resets. They keep RoundUp's branding.
  • Government forms (W-4, I-9, direct deposit) — their layout is set by the agency.
  • Names, records and reports. Branding is appearance only.

More than one center

Each center has its own branding. Switch to the center first with Switch center, then open Branding and save it there. A center that has never saved branding shows RoundUp's own name and colors — including right after you switch to it from a center that has its own. See Running more than one center.
