Text Message Program — Terms & Conditions
The terms for text messages families receive from their child's center through RoundUp.
These terms govern the text (SMS) messages sent through RoundUp to families who opt in. By giving your mobile number and consenting, you agree to them. They cover only the text-message program; our general practices are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. The program
Child-care centers use RoundUp to send families recurring texts about their child's care: closure and emergency notices, reminders, check-in and check-out notes, billing reminders, and two-way messages with center staff. How to opt in is described on our text message program & opt-in page.
2. Consent
You enroll by entering your own mobile number and checking a consent box in the RoundUp app, or by texting START, UNSTOP or YES to your center's RoundUp number. Consent is not a condition of enrollment or of any purchase. You confirm you are the subscriber or customary user of the number, and you'll update it in the app if it changes.
3. Frequency & cost
Message frequency varies with your child's attendance and your center's activity. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. RoundUp and your center don't charge you for texts.
4. Opting out (STOP) and help (HELP)
Cancel at any time by texting STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT or END to the number you receive texts from. You'll get one confirmation, and then texts stop at every center that has your number. You can also turn texts off in the app. To rejoin, opt in again or text START.
For help, text HELP or INFO, or email support@roundupece.com.
5. Your number & privacy
We use your mobile number and consent only to run this program.
- We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
- This program is not used for affiliate marketing, lead generation, referral marketing or third-party advertising. Texts are only about your own child's care at your center.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information is shared only with service providers that deliver the texts (our messaging platform and carriers), and only as needed to deliver them. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
6. Delivery
Delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network and isn't guaranteed. RoundUp, your center and the mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes appear here with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to receive texts after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
8. Contact
Questions about texts from RoundUp? Email support@roundupece.com.
9. Families at centers in Canada
If your child's center is in Canada, these terms apply with the following, which reflect Canada's anti-spam law (CASL):
- Who sends the texts. RoundUp sends them on behalf of your child's center. Announcements to families start with the center's name.
- Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, at no cost: reply STOP or ARRÊT, turn texts off in the app, or contact us at RoundUp LLC · PO Box 7102 · Springfield, OR 97475 or support@roundupece.com. A reply takes effect immediately; any other request, within 10 business days.
- French. Text ARRÊT (or ARRET) to stop and AIDE for help, as the whole message.
- Your consent record. We keep the number you gave, the wording you agreed to, in the language you saw it, and when, so we can show that you consented.
How we handle Canadian families' personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
